Action Snapshots Tutorial Please Read!
Recently We shot Charter Oaks gymnastics Level 5 & 6 Sectional. We decided to shoot as many of the gymnasts as possible, so most of the parents will have an opportunity to view and purchase their favorite athlete's action snapshots. As a result, over 6,000 photos were taken and 15 gig bytes of digital information was captured. While processing this huge job, We have gotten several requests to post the photos sooner. After rethinking our post-production workflow, We decided to post "modified raw" photos rather than post "finished" photos as in the past. This way the photos will be posted generally within 24 to 48 hours after the event.Once a customer has selected the photos he/she wants to purchase by placing an order, We will then work on those selected photos to their final "finished" state. This way, We can work more efficiently and spend more time on the selected photos as opposed to spending valuable post-production time on all photos. As result of this change in our workflow, We should be able to post the photos much sooner. We've listed examples of the type of work that goes into a finished photo. Here is what We do to get the "Modified Raw" photos to their "Finished" state. Please take our mini tutorial on photo preparation. You'll then be shown a link to access your photos.
