Dear Parents:

It was a pleasure photographing your kids at Encore Showcase Nationals 2006. Here are few important notes. Please read through them as they will make your ordering easier.

Theatrical Color Lights:
Due to numerous theatrical color lights used at the recital, the skin of the dancers had various colorcasts. Unfortunately we are unable to remove the colorcast in these photos.

Exposure
Many routine contain “theatrical lighting” to set the mode of the dance. In those circumstances, we are only able to lighten the photos slightly. The photos will retain their “artsy” look and exposure.

Judges’ Heads:
We would do our best to remove judges’ head provide the heads are not superimposed on any body parts.  In the case where the heads are superimposed on the dancers, it will require tedious and time-consuming “Custom Photo Editing”.  Please do not email us to request removal of the heads in these cases unless you are wiling to pay for expensive Photoshop editor’s time.

Focus Point for Photos Containing More than One Person:
If more than one person is in the photo, it is possible that not all persons are in sharp focus. This happens when the kids appear in different rows. Please make sure your kid is in focus prior to placing your order. If you are not sure, you are always welcome to send us an email to cs@actionsnapshots.com (in the "zommed" window) to verify if your kid is in focus

Cropping for Photos Containing More than One Person:
We will generally crop for the subject in the center of each photo. Please make sure to tell us if your kids appeared in the edge of a specific photo so we can crop accordingly.

Removal of Partial Body Parts:
If an arm or leg of another person appears on the photo, we will do our best to remove them if there is a clear separation between your dancer and the other person. Please note that we are unable to remove the unwanted bodies if there is any overlap (or touching) of the part of the body from another person or if the background is not homogenous.

Digital Files
Yes, we have digital files for solo dancers available for personal usage. Click here to read all about it.

* Please Note * We will generally keep event photos online for at least six months. However, about 30 days after the event, the original images will be archived (deleted off our hard drive and archived on DVD). The price of photos at that time will be a minimum of 30% higher because it will take us time to find and to retrieve images. Please place your order as soon as possible.

Please note due to limitation of the software, if you order photos from different sessions, there will be a separate $5 S&H charge.  However, you can subtract $5 S&H charge for each additional session by deducting the amount from your final figure.  Please indicate the order # of your original order which you are paying the S&H and any subsequent orders where you are deducting the $5 in your message to us (either at Paypal message window or on the print out of your order to be include if you are mailing us a check).  Combine S&H is only available to the same parent that is shipping to the original address.

Reporting Errors and Missing Routines:

We have improved our services this year from before. We have devoted significant resources to organize the photos by routine names. We hope you will find this improved feature to be convenient.

However, there are five people and five computers processing over 20,000 photos and 400+ routines in some events, it is likely we will make mistakes or forget to post some routine. If you discovered any errors, please let us know by email . When inquiry about a specific routine, please tell us the following information:

  • “Event City”
  • Date of Performance
  • The “Level” of the routine
  • “Routine # and Name”
  • A description of type of dance (solo, duo, trio, small group, large group or lyrical) and costumes.
